A Home for the Arts

The Harlem-Air Foundation is a private foundation that provides Artist in Residence programs specifically for artists from Harlem and the Bronx, New York. 

The Foundation is able to provide space for these artists through community-based donations and partnerships with like-minded philanthropists and supporters around the world. By offering a haven for artists to create and explore their craft, the Harlem-Air Foundation aims to nurture the artistic and cultural legacy of these neighborhoods.

1. Volunteer to lead art workshops for children at one of Harlem or the Bronx's' local arts organizations. This could involve facilitating activities such as drawing, painting, or sculpture, and could serve as an opportunity to introduce kids to new art techniques and encourage creativity.

2. Offer to help with event planning and coordination for local arts exhibitions or performances. This could include tasks such as setting up and organizing exhibits, serving as an usher or ticket taker, or helping with marketing and promotion efforts.

3. Help with fundraising efforts for local arts organizations by volunteering to organize benefit events or campaigns. This could involve reaching out to potential sponsors or donors, creating fundraising materials, or organizing fundraising events such as auctions or benefit concerts.
